My Beauty Wishlist

As a student I find it rather difficult to afford high end makeup :( However *shamed face* my student overdraft has taken some damage and I'm guilty of having the occasional cheeky splurge every now and again (E.g this week alone I spent £100 at MAC, oops) 

Even though I have these splurges to release my inner beauty demon, I still find myself wanting more!! To stop myself from spending I "pretend shop". I know this sounds crazy (promise I'm not) but I'm sure all girls are guilty of "adding things to basket" with no intention of actually purchasing (no? okay just me) I call it online window shopping 8-)

MAC 'Girl About Town' Lipstick Review

£14.00, M.A.C

MAC's 'Girl About Town' is a new lipstick in my collection which makes me question how did I live without it? It's the perfect fuchsia shade and it's blue undertones make it great for bringing out whiteness in the teeth. It's an amplified creme finish which means it extremely pigmented and the staying power is immense.

I personally love the amplified finish from MAC. It glides on smoothly, adding moisture and a slight gloss to the lips but at the same time provides enough pigment to make it opaque and lasting in one application. All MAC lipsticks have a slight vanilla scent which make this lipstick that extra bit luxiourious.

I think this lipstick looks gorgeous with a soft black smoky eye but be careful not to go too OTT as it is quite a strong lip colour! This lip colour is also rumoured to be Cheryl Cole's all time fave too! 

Why can't I look like her pls?!

I'd defiantly recommend this MAC lipstick as a staple in your collection. It adds a great pop of colour to black or dull outfits in the winter yet can also be worn as a great spring/summer shade!

MAC Lipstick Collection

MAC lipsticks are well known amongst the beauty world for being some of the best in the market. I am a complete lipstick whore who owns far too many lipsticks (seriously I have issues) and would go as far as saying they are my favourite beauty product. 

At a steep price tag of £14 (can't believe they've increased the price again), MAC lipsticks are a  definite splurge but for a lipstick lover like myself, I somehow justify it and have ended up with this rather extensive collection...

I've also left REBEL and VIVA GLAM NICKI 1 at university so was unable to photograph! As you can tell, I love MAC lipsticks. They come in a variety of different finishes (satin being my favourite) and the staying power is amazing.  If you are looking for a high end lipstick I would definitely recommend MAC - they are by far the best I've tried.

Welcome to Natalies Beauty Box!

Oh Heyyy strangers/potential friends!

I thought I would start my blog with an introduction to myself and what to expect :) My name is Natalie, I'm 19 years young and from the lovely (debatable) Yorkshire. I currently live away at university in the East Midlands, studying Business and Marketing, which I love! 

I've wanted to start a beauty blog for a while now and have finally been persuaded by my gorgeous and hilarious friend Vicky (check her out on happyfatgirly.blogspot.co.uk). I've been a devoted beauty blog and youtube stalker for the last 2 years so thought it was time I'd give it a go myself (although I don't think I'll be starting a youtube channel any time soon - scary!)

I look forward to sharing my thoughts on beauty with you all (and maybe a bit of lifestyle and fashion - who knows!).  I've always been interested in beauty since I was little thanks to my sister who is a makeup artist and has worked with companies such as Benefit, YSL and Lancome (free makeup whatttt?!). I also worked on a beauty department myself for two years which made my obsession for makeup grow even more!

I think that shall be it for my slightly awkward first post... I still feel a bit silly writing this haha.
